Sanus Systems Introduces Hover Foundations® Correct Positioning Speaker Stands

(Saint Paul, MN) -- Sanus Systems announces its new Hover Foundations® correct positioning speaker stands, the first in the industry that meet the placement guidelines of Dolby Laboratories. Hover Foundations® speaker stands are sleek, but ruggedly built, heavy duty cast iron and steel stands that are designed for proper positioning of home theater satellite speakers.
While many people enjoy sound reproduced from speakers at ear level, the correct positioning for surround speakers, according to Dolby Laboratories, is actually several feet above ear level. Dolby Laboratories experts suggest that best audio performance from a home theater speaker system occurs with placement of front and center speakers placed as close as possible to the same height, at or near ear level, and with surround speakers placed slightly behind and above ear level facing horizontally (not down at the listener). Hover Foundations® speaker stands, which come in black (Model HF1b) and silver (Model HF1s) are sold in a package that contain two High mass base plates and two straight telescoping pillars that raise surround speakers all the way up to a maximum 58" off the floor – ideal for perfecting surround sound. Two angled telescoping pillars are also included for listeners who prefer to have sound directed down at them. And six different sets of speaker mounts allow virtually every speaker up to ten pounds to fasten to these stands. Hover Foundations® speaker stands are currently available and list for $79.99.
