SANUS® Launches New iPad™ App for Custom Installers

Demos and daily iPad giveaway will take place in booth #1136 at CEDIA

(ST. PAUL, Minn.) — SANUS, the leading global brand of audio/video mounts, furnishings and consumer electronics accessories, announces it will be introducing the SANUS Install Tool Kit™ iPad app this week during CEDIA EXPO in Atlanta. The free app is now available for download from the iTunes® App Store.

The SANUS Install Tool Kit™ provides TV mount compatibility and installation assistance for professional audio/video installers to use on the job site while performing custom installations.

“With many custom installers embracing new technologies like the iPad, we wanted to develop a useful application that will make it faster and easier for installers to get assistance in the field,” said SANUS General Manager Jim Wohlford.

The SANUS Install Tool Kit™ features SANUS' MountFinder™ mount selection tool and HeightFinder™ installation assistant. With MountFinder™, installers can easily find compatible mounts for more than 15,000 TVs from a comprehensive list organized alphabetically by brand and model number for quick identification. Search results are organized by mount type (full-motion, tilting, low-profile or specialty), and users are able to view complete details for each product, including features, specs and price.

Using the HeightFinder™ tool, installers can determine the exact drilling hole location for installing a mount. They may also change variable information as required for more custom installations simply by providing the desired height of a TV's top, center or bottom as measured from the floor. From this information, HeightFinder™ provides diagrams for quick reference — a useful timesaving feature.

The app also features a “MyNotes” notepad where installers can create and save notes and then reference back to them to recall installation information.

The SANUS Install Tool Kit™ also provides demo videos, allowing installers to show customers the many benefits of mounting a TV, and to show them which type of mount is appropriate for their application.

SANUS will be giving demonstrations of the app in booth #1136 at CEDIA, September 22-26 in Atlanta. Attendees who participate in the demo will be eligible to win an iPad during a daily giveaway.
