Wish this would have worked.
I had high hopes for a clean EASY install of a TV in my Master BR. No visible cables, in and out. Totally hidden. Nope. Turns out, if you have cross-braces between your studs (as I discovered I do), this kit won't work. If the instructions had mentioned the incompatibility with cross-braces, I'd have looked for one before cutting the holes, and just returned the kit where I bought it. Now I can't do that as the fish tape and hole saw are used and damaged from beginning the install.
Sanus Customer service was little help. They suggested cutting a much bigger hole in my drywall, drilling a 2" hole through the cross-brace (to accommodate the plug on the end of the wire), then patch it up and paint it. Sorry, but I really don't want a big drywall patching project to make this work. 2 holes I can hide with the grommets I was fine with, but this a bridge too far.
So now I'm out the $80 for this kit, and have to go buy something else to hide the cables. But it likely won't be a Sanus product if I can help it.
