VESA patterns are measured by the center of one mounting hole to the center of another on the back of a television in millimeters. In the example above, the VESA measurements are 100 (width) x 100 (height). The example TV would be able to use a VESA 100 x 100 mount.
The sample was placed in a hemi-anechoic sound chamber 1.2 meters above the floor on an isolated mounting system. The sound pressure level was measured at 1 meter from the discharge of each test sample using a Bruel and Kjaer 2270 sound level meter. Air Volume Movement
The fans were tested in accordance with ANSI/AMCA 210-99, ANSI/ASHRAE 51-1999, entitled: "Laboratory Methods of Testing Fans for Rating". The metering station, through appropriate ductwork, was connected to the discharge of a variable air supply/exhaust system. To determine the air volume, the static pressure difference was measured employing piezometer rings and a "Dwyer" inclined manometer Model No. 424-5. Temperature at time of testing: 68 - 70°F Dry Bulb, 51 - 56°F Wet Bulb. Barometric Pressure at time of testing: 28.65 - 28.86 in. Hg.
